International Eastern Partnership conference “Promoting common values through education and culture” (25-26.06.19, Tbilisi, Georgia)
On 25-26 June 2019, the International Eastern Partnership Conference «Promoting common values through education and culture» took place.
The event was organized with the support of the European Commission in Holiday Inn, Tbilisi, Georgia.
Among the about 260 participants from more than 20 countries, including all the countries of the Eastern Partnership, the conference was attended by about 40 representatives from Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation included Higher Education Reform Experts in Ukraine (HERE) Yuriy RASHKEVYCH, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Volodymyr BAKHRUSHYN and Mychailo WYNNYCKYJ, representatives of public authorities, higher education institutions, non-governmental organizations, and international projects in Ukraine.
The National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine was represented by Petro KRAINIK, who was a co-moderator of the panel discussion «The Role of Teachers in Promoting Common Values».
At the conference, there was a detailed discussion of the trends in teaching and learning, the development of competences, the European dimension of teaching on the basis of common values, innovative approaches in education governance, cultural co-creation and intercultural dialogue, exchange of good practices, quality improvement in education and reinforced civic engagement in education.
